Dear Parents / Guardians,
Next week is Market Week at LPS! The Year 6s have been learning about Economics and have worked hard to create stalls selling many goods and services. Some of the exciting games on offer include pro mini-hoop basketball, ping pong games, throwing water balloons into cups, bucket toss and paper plane throwing competitions. Some of the fabulous products on offer include popcorn, jelly, cookie decorating, cold rock ice-cream and lucky jars. Prices range from 50c to $2 per activity/product. Most children do like to buy something, but if you do not want your child to buy anything do not send any money. We do talk about families being different and people having different treats. Please make sure money is in a named purse or bag, (ziplock is fine), as change is easy to lose and this causes distress.
Teachers will work with students that have allergies to ensure they do not purchase food that they cannot eat. The Grade 6 students will also ask the students before they give them any food if they have any allergies.
The stalls will be held during lunchtimes next week and each Year level has a roster of when they can attend.
Prep – Tuesday 24th Nov
Year 1 &2 – Wednesday 25th Nov
Year 3 & 4 – Thursday 26th Nov
Year 5 – Friday 27th Nov
The money raised from the stalls will contribute to the end of year graduation celebrations for the Year 6s. We look forward to seeing the students there!
